Unhappy Longtime Braves broadcaster Skip Caray dies at 68

Quote:
ATLANTA (AP)—Skip Caray, a voice of the Atlanta Braves for 33 years and part of a family line of baseball broadcasters that included Hall of Famer Harry Caray, died in his sleep at home on Sunday, the team said. He was 68.

The cause of death was not immediately known, but various health problems had limited Caray to calling only Braves home games this season.

Back in the 80's before all the baseball packages and stuff, I used to have to listen to Harry and Skip all the time while watching WGN and TBS as those were my main outlets to baseball, excluding the NBC game of the week and ABC's MNB...

R.I.P. Skip

Most people didn't like listening to Skip Caray because of his nasal voice, but over the years I've come to enjoy when he called the Braves game. It just won't be the same listening to a Braves game on the radio without him.
